Always Up-To-Date is a feature of which allows Windows Mobile users with more flexibility to schedule ActiveSync updates. By default ActiveSync only allows you to synchronize as frequently as once every 5 minutes. Because of this limitation, your device may not always be up to date with the latest information. Always Up-To-Date allows you to configure your device to receive updates as soon as they arrive to your Exchange account. When a new item is received to an Exchange folder which is set to be synchronized, the Exchange server generates an SMS message. The SMS is then sent to your Pocket PC or Smartphone, which triggers the device to automatically synchronize with the Exchange server.
