What is allowed to be dumped at the Waste Transfer Station?
• No materials containing loose asbestos fiber or derelict vehicles are accepted. • No refrigerated appliances are allowed to be dumped directly at landfill Site. After purchasing a certificate at the Town Office authorising its disposal, a refrigerated appliance should be dropped off at the Works & Operations Yard at 2 Penn Lake Road during regular working hours. Recycling activities at the Waste Transfer Station The following recyclable and reusable products can be brought to the Waste Transfer Station: • Steel products • Clean Wood products • Reuseable products • Waste electronics and electrical equipment such as computers and peripherals (mice, keyboards), monitors, printers and televisions will be accepted at the Recycling Centre (items such as telephones, copiers, stereos, radios, MP3 players and other audio-visual equipment cannot be accepted at this time) • Curbside recyclables, refer to the Collection Calendar.
