Arizona’s Instrument to Measure Standards Dual Purpose Assessment (AIMS DPA) is a combination of two separate tests. One test is AIMS, which measures how well you know the reading, writing, and mathematics content that all Arizona students in your grade level are expected to know and be able to do. AIMS DPA includes multiple-choice questions in reading and mathematics and one extended writing response. The other test included in the AIMS DPA is the TerraNova, which compares your performance in reading, language arts, and mathematics to the performance of other students in your grade level nationwide.
