What is AFF or Accelerated Freefall?
Accelerated Freefall or AFF for short is the most common and fastest way to learn to skydive. If you have never jumped before a tandem skydive is required. The AFF program consists of 6 to 8 hours of ground school and a written examination. There are seven levels, or jumps, that need to be completed and you must meet all the targeted learning objectives on each jump to proceed to the next level. Jump number seven is your graduation jump and after that you may jump by yourself or with other experienced skydivers. You will learn basic parachute packing techniques during your training jumps. On jumps one through three you are accompained by two AFF jumpmasters. Jumps four through seven require one jumpmaster.
