What is aerator clarifier?
Aerators are based on pumping action wherein water is sucked in the center and thrown in a volute trajectory in air leading to fragmentation of water in fine globulates and thus increasing oxygen absorption. * Aerator is cone type and has curved vanes located in conical skirt facilitating gliding action of water over the curved blades and thus avoiding erosion of blades. * Aerator speed is between 60 to 100 RPM, which is quite suitable for aeration of biological sludge. Low speeds do not destroy the bio mass in MLSS and facilitates proper oxygen transfer. * To overcome the torque, gearboxes are selected for service factor of 2. * Aerator has lifting / lowering facility. * Aerator cone is dynamically balanced at 300 RPM. hence you will not have vibration problem at 60 to 100 RPM.
