What is Adobe InDesign program used for?
Where in the heck are people getting the idea that InDesign replaces Photoshop and Illustrator? It is twice, this week that I have seen people claiming to be professional graphics people say this. It is, most decidedly, NOT so! InDesign is a page layout application in which graphics (created elsewhere) and text are combined to create layouts and prepare them for printing. Graphics can be created or manipulated in Photoshop, (particularly raster graphics) and created in Illustrator. (known to be the industry standard in vector graphics) In InDesign, the graphics are placed and laid out in a form that REAL professional designers know works in an effective way to get a particular message across. It has very powerful text tools and style sheets to make a lot of typesetting operations a LOT easier.
