The meeting/event planner program is designed to prepare students to plan, organize and manage all aspects of corporate and organizational meetings and events. Required courses are designed to provide students with essential skills in computer applications, management and communications. Graduates receive an associate of applied business degree. This program includes an optional, paid internship component to give students on-the-job training related to course work. Students in the program will attend classes on a full-time basis and work in a meeting/events-planning related position for 20 hours a week for one year. Through this program students learn the fundamentals in class, while gaining necessary real-world work experience.
