What is adjudication of guilt withheld?

0

It simply means that the case has been resolved either by a plea of finding of Guilt by Judge or Jury. At sentencing, the Judge can adjudicate the Defendant Guilty (formal conviction) or enter a withhold of adjudication meaning that the formal conviction is withheld. The person is not formally convicted of the crime. Depending on the crime he/she could be eligible to have their record sealed once finished with any conditions of probation imposed by the judge. Good luck!!
