What is Adhd in Children?
ADHD is similar for children and adults, just easier to diagnose as a child. ADHD means Attention-deficit Hyperactivity Disorder and is a group of behaviors found in many children and adults. The behaviors affect their relationships, education, and social behaviors. Children with ADHD have symptoms that may include: difficulty following instructions, difficulty paying attention on work or play activities (school or home), loses things constantly, appears not to listen, doesn’t pay attention to detail, seems unorganized, has trouble planning ahead for tasks and projects, forgets things easily (usualy short-term memory affects), and is easily distracted. There are just a few out of many symptoms, and most children diagnosed with ADHD will have six or more symptoms.
