What is adenocarcinoma of the nasal cavity?
Adenocarcinoma is a cancer of gland tissue. So adenocarcinoma of the nasal cavity is a cancer of gland cells inside the nose. There are gland cells in the skin lining the nose. They make the mucous that keeps the inside of the nose moist and helps to clean the air going through to the lungs. Most nasal cavity cancers are a different type – squamous cell. This is a cancer of the skin lining the nose. These 2 cancers are treated in the same way.
