What is ActiveX? Is it harmful to download it on my machine?
ActiveX: Software components from Microsoft. They enable sound, Java applets and animations to be integrated in a Web page. ActiveX controls are software components based on Microsoft’s ActiveX technology that is used to add interactivity and more functionality, such as animation or a popup menu, to a Web page. Features like ActiveX and Cookies helps to communicate with your computer and allow you to use the full functionality of the website. a.
