What is Accutane(Isotretinion)?
Accutane is the brand name of “Isotretinoin”. Isotretinoin is a type of medication used to treat severe acne (nodlo cystic or nodular acne) which have failed to respond to other treatments including any type of oral antibiotics and topical application creams. Accutane is strong medicine for acne cure but can have serious side effects. Its an oral retinoid which inhibits sebaceous gland function (eliminates or reduces oil secretion). Accutaine is an effective treatment for acne because acne comes up from oil glands that have become clogged with time because of excess oil secretion that gets mixed with dirt and micro organisms such as bacteria. After applying this method it reduces the quantity of oil secreted, as a result of which one decreases the chances of pores getting clogged by oil and bacteria, and thus have none to lesser acne.
