What is accreditation?
The United States Department of Education does not accredit any U.S. college or educational institution. The accreditation process is left in the hands of privately operated professional, national, regional, and local accrediting agencies. Randford University’s procedures and policies confirm to the strict guidelines of our accrediting agency.
A. The process that a school must go through to be validated as a legitimate educational institution. The process is voluntary, however, the school must meet minimum requirements regarding their institution. Unaccredited schools should be avoided. Q. What is an accrediting agency? A. There are six regional accrediting agencies that are recognized as the legitimate Accreditors throughout the US. For more detailed information, see a list of Recognized US Accreditors. Q. Are schools on Online Degree Center accredited? A. Yes, all of our schools are accredited.
Accreditation generally means that a school or program has been evaluated by an independent group, and meets that accrediting agency’s standards. As seen, there are many options for accreditation and the process is VOLUNTARY and it is not “required” to operate. Often smaller programs simply cannot afford the cost of such an ongoing review process. In an effort to keep program cost down and the current motivational based format of JHSO, JHSO has not sought nor been approved by the US DOE, CHEA or DETC organizations and does not represent itself to be an “Accredited” program of any of these organizations. JHSO is developing its own tuition assistance program. JHSO incorporates an internal review or “self-auditing” approach to assure consistent standards that include but are not limited to: • Create impetus for organizational improvement and assist in the general rising of diploma granting standards. • Offer an equal opportunity for anyone to receive evaluation and education program rathe
