What is Accidental Death & Dismemberment (AD&D) coverage?

0

This is an additional benefit equal to one-half the amount of your term life insurance. If you die as the result of a covered accident within one year of the accident, this amount will be paid to your designated beneficiary in addition to the life insurance amount. A portion of this amount may be payable to you if you should suffer the loss of a limb or sight as the result of a covered accident within two years of the accident. This coverage cancels when your life coverage cancels, or at the age of 70, whichever comes first.
