What is acceptable to mix with Makers Mark?
Maker’s Mark themselves recommend mixing it with Berentzen’s Apple Liqueur to make an “Apple Manhattan.” I have mixed feelings about this drink — Berentzen’s tastes roughly like apple juice, so the result is a ways off the beaten path. Of course you can always make a regular Manhattan with sweet vermouth, and bourbons pair well with ginger ale as well.
