What is Academic Probation and how does it affect me?
When a students cumulative grade point average falls below 2.00, or when a students quarter GPA falls below 2.00 for two consecutive quarters, that student is automatically placed on academic probation. The Associate Vice-President for Academic Administration sends a letter to the student, letting him or her know of the probationary status. Academic probation entails the following conditions, each intended to assist students in improving scholastic performance: 1. Enrollment is limited to 12 quarter credits which includes any incomplete that is outstanding. Students are advised to repeat courses with a grade less than C; 2. Independent study or correspondence credits are not permitted; 3. A biweekly conference with the academic adviser and two midterm progress reports are required; 4. Extracurricular activities which necessitate class absences are not permitted; 5. The student is not permitted to hold office in any student organization or serve as a student missionary or taskforce work
