What is a “Wishing Wagon” at a baby shower?

I have never heard of a “wishing wagon” so I am no help there but at my shower guest were asked to bring a favorite book for baby. My favorite were books that were my guest childhood favorites. My favorites were books that had the date and little message to the baby on the inside cover. These gifts were not wrapped and were displayed on a table. ETA: when in doubt wait until you get there with book in tow and ask someone else what they did. Bring a small gift bag just in case.
