What is a wireless slate?
The term wireless slate is usually used to describe a tablet computer that does not have an integrated keyboard or an LCD screen. In fact, a wireless slate is better thought of as a computer control peripheral like a mouse or a keyboard. The wireless slate has a touch sensitive surface which a teacher can use to control a computer connected to a Smartboard interactive whiteboard, or annotate over computer applications and digital documents using digital ink. The SMART AirLiner for SMART Board interactive whiteboards is an example of a wireless slate made by SMART Technologies which can be used to control a Smartboard interactive whiteboard.
