What is a wiccan/ the wicca religion?

0

Wicca is a modern religion (founded about 70 years ago) based on a revival/reinvention of Northern European Pagan religions, the practice of Witchcraft, influenced by Ceremonial magic and Freemasonry. It is an Earth-Centered spiritual path that honors the Higher Power in the form of God and Goddess (masculine and feminine energies manifest in all nature). Wiccans see a lot of interconnectedness in things, such as in nature and the cycles of our lives, and strive for balance and harmony in things. The Wiccan Rede (a philosophy, not a commandment) basically says, if you’re not hurting anyone, do what you wish. This sounds simple, but applying it to your life is pretty complex, as it requires you to think hard about what you do/say, the choices you make, how it effects everyone and everything around you. Of course it is impossible to never do harm (even blowing your nose kills bacteria), but the ideology is to take care to consider things and take responsibility for all that you do.
