What is a white noise generator?where it is used?
When I opened a new facility to house a large team on a specific project, we worked with the contractor to ensure that a low-level of white noise was generated to help keep down other ambient noise. The entire facility was comprised of cubicles. It really made a difference! White noise is typically a sound that is comprised of the entire spectrum of human hearing. One really cool technology that has emerged in the last 10 years or so is the noise cancelling systems (usually made available in headphones). These are called active noise cancelling systems because they actually sample the ambient noise level and, in real time, put out sounds that are out of phase with the original sound, effectively eliminating the ambient noise completely. I am a private pilot and have a noise cancelling headset. Don’t know how I ever lived without them!
