What is a white flood? Do I need white flood?
White flood is simply a coating of white that is printed on the disc that acts as a primer before your artwork is printed. Without white flood, white areas of your artwork will show the silver of the disc, also known as a white “knockout.” White flood is not required. Some customers don’t print a white flood on their label to produce creative effects with the silver disc background. Customers who doesn’t want white flood must specify so on their design or when they submit their artwork.
