What is a web custodian/curator and what is my role in the web renovation project?
When the project team to redesign the colleges web first began meeting, one issue that came up time and time again was the accuracy and currency of material posted on the colleges web page. With thousands of pages on the colleges site, it was agreed that no one person could monitor every page. To assure accuracy and timeliness of material posted, the new Web Publication Policy identified that all contributing departments, units or special college programs would select an individual (the web custodian) in their area who would be responsible for reviewing information posted for their area for accuracy and correcting the information as needed.
