What is a water budget-based structure?
A water budget-based system is designed to encourage conservation, reduce water run off, and promote efficient irrigation. An individualized water budget is the amount of water a customer is expected to need for a specific month based on various characteristics, including lot size, weather and irrigation data. Each customer’s water budget will be different, based on their characteristics. Water budgets will vary monthly based on seasonal weather changes, but no matter what your budget is, you only will be billed for the water you use.
