What is a Warehouse Management System?
A warehouse management system, or WMS, is more than a stock control system and more than a data collection system. It is actually a system that helps you ‘automate’ warehousing operations as much as possible. By automation we mean getting maximum productivity from people and equipment, getting maximum space utilisation and all but eliminating paperwork and manual record keeping.
