What is a VPN client?
Our VPN (Virtual Private Network) Client allows you to access Rowan University Network resources from home as if you were on campus. A VPN is a secured private network connection built on top of publicly accessible infrastructure. We provide two connections at Rowan. The “RowanVPN” connection is for normal use and the “RowanLibrary” connection is specifically used for connecting to the Library’s databases and should only be used for that purpose as it will slow down your connection to non-Rowan web sites.
