What is a Visa (Schengen Visa and National Visa)?
Schengen Visa: A Schengen Visa, although issued by a Consulate of one of the Schengen States, allows the traveler to enter the other Schengen Countries as well. The Schengen States are: Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Iceland, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain and Sweden. However, please keep in mind that: If you intend to visit ONLY ONE Schengen country, you must apply at the Consulate of that specific country; If you intend to visit SEVERAL Schengen countries, you must apply at the Consulate of the country that is your main destination, or the country where you will stay longer; If you intend to visit SEVERAL Schengen countries but do not have a main destination, or if you will be staying the same amount of time in each of the countries, you must apply at the Consulate of the country you will enter first.
