What is a Visa Check Card data breach?
A Visa® Check Card data breach occurs when there is an illegal data intrusion into the computer network of a Visa payment system that processes PlainsCapital Bank card payments. When this occurs, PlainsCapital Bank receives notification from Visa that the data breach may have resulted in the theft of some of our customers’ check card numbers. These intrusions affect merchants throughout the United States who use affected payment processors.
