A viewfinder is a device or mechanism used to see the subject being photographed. There are many types of viewfinders and each has a set of advantages and limitations: OVFs and EVFs are the two most common types. Viewfinders contribute greatly to the experience of using a camera and so choosing a camera with an appropriate and comfortable viewfinder is essential.
