What is a Victorian energy efficiency certificate?
“Victorian energy efficiency certificates” or VEEC’s are electronic certificates created after energy saving activities are performed in your home. Each VEEC represents 1 tonne of carbon dioxide saved by a “prescribed activity” performed by an accredited person like Green Made Easy. Once VEEC’s are certified by the Essential Service Commission they may be traded and sold with energy retailer who are then required to surrender them to the Essential Service Commission of Victoria.
