There are numerous duties of a veterinary technician. We assist the veterinarian in surgery, restrain animals, take accurate histories, venipuncture, urinalysis, hematology, chemistry, microbiology, serology, administer medications, administer anesthesia, monitor patients under anesthesia, apply bandages & splints, dental cleanings, place catheters, ear flush, EKG, take radiographs, take TPR, skin scrapings, check fecal samples for intestinal parasites, ultrasound, maintain equipment, maintain inventory of pharmaceuticals. These are just a few things that we do!!
