What is a Veterinary Technician Degree?
An associate degree in Veterinary Technology prepares students to work in veterinarians’ offices and other settings, where veterinary technicians play a role similar to that of nurses in physicians’ offices. Many colleges offer two-year associate degree programs that prepare students to perform clinical tasks such as laboratory testing, taking X-rays and providing other nursing care for animals like cats, dogs and livestock.
