A vessel lavatory, also called an above-counter sink, can be installed on top of a countertop or some can also be used as the actual top of a vanity base, which would typically provide the storage space in this application. Most have a finished exterior and work well with wall-mounted faucets, although many vessel sinks can also accommodate a deck-mounted faucet.
