Venetian blinds are basic slatted blind made of metal or plastic. Venetian blinds were introduced around 1770, possibly in Venice, Italy. Slat width can be between 50-120 mm, however most common are 50 mm. Venetian blinds also have the advantage that when fitted against the window it will still allow you to retain the use of part of the window sill.
