What is a vector graphics?
There are two main categories of graphics: bitmap and vector. Bitmap graphics, also referred to as raster graphics, are pixel-based whereas vector graphics are consist of points, lines, and curves which, when combined, can form complex objects. These objects can be filled with solid colors, gradients, and even patterns. Resizing bitmap graphics will reduce quality. Vector graphics on the other hand are scalable and resolution dependent. You can open vector illustration in Adobe Photoshop and it will allow you to choose the size that you desire and set the image quality that you prefer. This file can be used for print (for print, just select as CMYK colors) or for web just select as RGB colors.
