What is a Variable Asset Charge (VAC)?
If applicable to your employer’s plan, this is a fee charged to each participant’s account to pay for the participant-level administration of the plan, including statement production, customer service phone lines, Web site maintenance, and literature. This fee is implicitly charged, meaning the charge is removed before the daily unit value calculations. Therefore, you won’t see this fee reflected on your statements. Ask your employer or see your plan detail sheet for fees specific to your plan.
