What is a USGS 7.5 minute quadrangle map and where do I get one?
The USGS quad maps are maps produced by the US Geological Survey using contour markings to show the shape and elevation of terrain. Those at a scale of 1:24000 (1 inch = 2000 feet) show enough detail to be useful for the purposes of this review. Quad maps may be purchased from the USGS Store or you can print one off through TerraServer USA.
