What is a U-Pass and where do I get one?
In 2002, the Students Union and Calgary Transit arranged for all full-time students to have a U-Pass – a pass that allows them to ride transit ‘free’ when university is in session. At the start of each fall and winter session, students need to get a validation sticker on their current student ID card. The pass is not really free – all students are charged a compulsory $50 fee per semester with their tuition fees whether or not they use the U-Pass. You get the pass (a sticker that goes on your student ID card) at the Campus Ticket Center on the main level of MacEwan Hall (beside the pharmacy).
