What is a typical working week for EFL teachers?
Residential teachers work an average 12 sessions per week. Typically you will teach 5 sessions per week in the mornings – each teaching session includes 3 hours 20 minutes or 3 hours of contact teaching time, depending on the type of course. At Rugby School, you teach an additional 3 hours 20 minutes over two afternoons each week. The remaining 7 sessions (only 5 at Rugby) comprise afternoon recreation activities, full and/or half day excursions, and evening social activities and welfare duties.
