New students are tested during the orientation week on subjects such as ear training, theory, theory & performance, piano (non- pianists), sight-reading, and rhythm. Placement in classes is determined on the basis of these entrance evaluations. Each semester a student will also take liberal arts class and music history. Please refer to BFA DEGREE CURRICULUM MODEL.
