What is a typical jiu-jitsu class like at Perez Martial Arts? Is it dangerous?
Basically class begins with a set of basic warm ups that are specific to Jiu Jitsu that focus on strengthening the core. After the warm ups, we teach the basic techniques that make up Jiu Jitsu, followed by repetitive training to learn and get use to the techniques. The class ends with light sparring to work on stamina, conditioning and applying the techniques one learns. Jiu Jitsu is one of the safest arts to practice. It allows one to train at a pace that they are comfortable with and allowing them to progress in a safe manner.
