What is a typical day in the Pre-College program?
Students arrive promptly at 9:45am for a group and individual warmup. The first session is a 30 minute studio class grouped by instrument, followed by a 60 minute chamber class. All students then participate in a program-wide chorus with their instructors, followed by a short lunch break. In the afternoon, students are assigned to a 30 minute sight-singing/ear training class followed by a 60 minute music theory class. Placement in chamber groups and music theory is based on entrance auditions and placement exams on the first day of classes.
