What is a TTP?

A TTP (Time to Produce) ticket is an offence notice that allows the motorist an opportunity to rectify a problem within 48hrs and have the ticket quashed. Usually a TTP deals with motorists that have forgotten their drivers licence or insurance documents. It can also deal with burned out headlights, taillights or licence plates lights. Once the motorist has fixed the problem within 48hrs and attended the Police Reporting Centre to show that the issue has been dealt with the “ticket” is cancelled. The TTP program is a discretionary program on the part of the officer and not a guaranteed right of the motorist.
