What is a TrueTone?

0

TrueTone (also known as MP3Tone and RealTone) is the actual artist’s song – usually saved as a WAV or MP3 file – that’s been made into a ringtone. They include vocals, and sound like the real song because that’s what they are. But because of cell phone’s speakers and storage limitations, the sound is not CD quality.

A TrueTone is a real sample produced from the recording. For example, click on the icon below to listen to the Polyphonic version of Prokofieff’s “Romeo & Juliet – Dance of the Knights”.
