What is a Treasurer, what does he/she do? ?
A treasurer takes care of the money in a given organization; makes sure there is enough to meet the projected budget, allocates it to the given departments in an organization, and is responsible if there is a discrepancy in the budget vs. the actual available money. The government at whatever level decides how to use the money, the treasurer is more the caretaker of that money.
