What is a TransitChek Voucher?
TransitChek Vouchers are cash-like instruments that can only be used to purchase transit fare media from transit operators. They can be used at most places that sell fare media except at ticket vending machines. Vouchers are available in several denominations. They must be used to purchase fare media that is at least equal to the value of the vouchers being presented. Vouchers must be used before their expiration date. Damaged or torn Vouchers will not be accepted by transit operators. Since vouchers are cash like instruments please protect them. Lost or stolen vouchers cannot be replaced. Operators may limit the number of vouchers that can be presented at any one time.
TransitChek Vouchers are vouchers that are accepted by transit operators and eligible vanpools for the purchase of tickets and passes, or to pay vanpool expenses. They are used just like cash, and cannot be replaced if lost or stolen. Mass Transit Vouchers can only be used to purchase transit tickets and passes or to pay for vanpool expenses. You may not receive cash back from the operator accepting the Vouchers. You must purchase tickets and passes equal to or greater than the value of the Vouchers. Vouchers are valid for a year and should be used as soon as possible to avoid expiration.
