What is a transaction fingerprint?
A transaction fingerprint is a hash generated using the HMAC-MD5 hashing algorithm on a set of merchant- and transaction-specific fields, including the merchants transaction key. A unique, single use transaction fingerprint is required for each transaction sent to the payment gateway using SIM. If the transaction fingerprint cannot be validated by Authorize.Net, the transaction request will be rejected.
