What is a Traditional Persian (Doll Face)?

0

The Persian breed has been under attack by all of the other cat associations world wide for long years now. This has resulted in two separate and distinct types within the breed as a whole. The Traditional Persian (Doll Face) has a normal nose in length and placement in proportion to its facial structure. It is a very healthy cat. The Extreme Persian (or Peeked Faced Persian) is the so called “show” Persian glorified by all of the other cat associations. It has a pushed in nose, so short, it looks like it ran into a wall. Its dramatically shortened tear ducks drain directly onto the face causing constant staining. Sniffelling, difficulty breathing while eating and bulbous eyes, make this cat look totally deformed facially. THE TRADITIONAL CAT ASSOCIATION, INC. DOES NOT SUPPORT THE EXTREME PERSIAN.
