What is a trackball mouse?
Trackball mice are an alternative to the common computer mouse. Though the trackball mouse was invented prior to the modern mouse, they have largely fallen out of favor. Trackball mice consist of a ball held by a docking area with buttons. The ball, on top of the docking station, can be rotated by the user to control the cursor. The buttons on the dock are used for left and right clicking and other special functions such as scrolling.
