What is a Total Quality Management (TQM) model?
TQM – as it applies to education – is a structured and focused system for consistently meeting well defined, challenging, and provable goals by integrating the educational environment and stakeholders (namely students, teachers, and parents), continuous improvement, proven instructional and collaborative tools, and breakthroughs in instructional techniques while strengthening the overall organizational culture.* More simply, TQM in education allows the schools to meet the high standards set forth by the state and community by using proven instructional and collaborative strategies that allow us to all work together and grow in an effective, focused, positive, and provable way.
