What is a token?
A token is a security mechanism which can be enabled on your web site to restrict access to certain pages of your web site. Tokens require a user to provide both a username and password before access will be granted to the password-protected area of the web site. Once the username and password have been entered, they are passed to the local security authority program on the server, which in turn runs the appropriate authentication package and grants the user access if approved. All WebCentral shared web hosting plans come with a certain number of tokens to support your requirements. Should should you require additional tokens, these are available at a cost of $5 per additional token per month, and can be requested by logging a job through your Mission Control panel via the ‘Add Job’ link.
A Token is used at sign-in for customers that initiate Wire Transfers and ACH transactions. A token is an added layer of security that generates a unique one time security code each time you login. Since your accounts cannot be accessed without both your login information (User ID and Password) and a Security Token, your online access will be protected by the highest level of security.
A token is a non-monetary unit that can be exchanged within a BabysitterExchange community for the help you need with everyday tasks. A “token” has many different names in other services: script, tickets, points, credits, service credits, and TimeDollars. Generally, these tokens have no monetary value and can not be redeemed for anything outside the BabysitterExchange service.
